For the second day in a row, the Adams County Sheriff's Office reported a Scott's Law violation on Interstate 172.
Deputies said at 3:57 a.m. on Friday, a Ford SUV driven by 18-year-old Caden Widmer of Quincy failed to move over and slow down for emergency vehicles that had their emergency lights activated on mile marker 15.
Deputies said a traffic stop happened shortly after that and found that he had been driving under the influence of alcohol.
He was charged with DUI, Scott's Law, and Illegal Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor.
This comes after a three-vehicle crash happened Thursday morning. A deputy was injured in the crash and the road was shut down for hours.
