Slight relief from the heat and humidity

Quiet weather on Sunday with mostly sunny skies. A high-pressure system positioned to our NW will have a slight relief from the heat and humidity. Temperatures will be seasonably warm, in the mid-80s. The high-pressure system drawing in drier air from the north will help cause the amount of moisture in the air to decrease throughout the day. This will make it not feel as humid.

The slight relief will be brief, through the first part of the week. We do have a few chances of and thunderstorms. The first potential arrives Tuesday with the better possibility on Wednesday.

For the end of the week and into the weekend we are watching for another heatwave to arrive and it may be stronger than last week's. Heat index values between 100-105+ will be possible.
