WGEM Sports At Six: Monday (July 14) HTC Lady Crusaders Open Post-Season Play On The Road Tonight And QHS Soccer Team Continues Off-Season Conditioning Program At Flinn Memorial Stadium

The Lady Crusaders softball team will enter post-season play this evening on the road wen they travel to New London to take on the Lady Tigers. The regional match-up will be a special one for HTC. The Lady Crusaders are fielding a varsity squad on the dirt this season for the first time in years years. This trip to the "second season" will be an experience this young team from Fort Madison won't forget for quite some time. Head coach Loren Menke feels good about his teams chances. HTC fell to defeat against NLHS back on June 23, by just 1 run, 5 to 4. WGEM's Garrett Tiehes is in "The Hawkeye State" with a Post-Season Preview of tonight's battle.

The Lady Chiefs of Keokuk will also be on the prep softball dirt tonight in Southeast Iowa. KHS will travel to Davis County in search of their fourth win of the regular season. This game will also mark the end of the regular season finale' for the Lady Chiefs. Keokuk is slated to open post-season play on Thursday evening at Fort Madison.

The Quincy High soccer team returned to the pitch at Flinn Memorial Stadium this morning. The Blue Devils Off-Season Conditioning Program rolls on with head coach Ron Bridal making sure that all "Phase 4" Return To Play Guidelines are being followed. We'll have an update.
