Heat Starts To Return On Friday

Our Thursday is going to be a lot quieter. It will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy with a weak high pressure near by. Highs will be comfortable in the mid 80s without too much humidity. By Thursday night, we'll have mostly clear skies with lows in the upper 60s.

Friday will be hotter though. Sunshine and winds out of the south will help highs climb to 90. Dew points will rise back into the 70s so it will be more humid. Feel like temperatures tomorrow will be 95 - 98 degrees. A few models show the chance of a few scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening, however confidence in that is not too high. So for now, going with a dry forecast.

The heat will really crank up Saturday and Sunday. Highs will be in the mid 90s but heat index values will range from 100 - 107. This would be considered dangerous heat. So if you can, stay inside during the hottest parts of the day. If you have to be outside, drink lots and lots of water, take a lot of air conditioning breaks and wear light colored clothing.
