GRHF Board celebrates WWII vet’s 105th birthday


QUINCY (WGEM) — The Great River Honor Flight Board of Directors today as we celebrated the 105th birthday of Jim Haslem, Navy WWII veteran who served on a minesweeper in the Atlantic and Mediterranean on Friday.

Haslem was presented with a lanyard, cap, t-shirt, quilt, mail call letters, and a photo book of the WWII Memorial in Washington, DC.

Haslem currently resides at Curtis Creek in Quincy.
