Bitter Cold Air

Quiet weather will persist for the next few days with temperatures climbing back into the 90s. It will begin to feel-like 95 to near 105. The warmest temperatures will arrive for the second part of the weekend.

Today we have been under the influence of a high-pressure system hanging out around the Great Lakes region. This is keeping most clouds out of the Tri-States allowing plenty of sunshine. Will it does feel a bit humid, the high-pressure system is keeping the higher humidity at bay, for now. The system will slide off to the southeast portion of the country by this weekend. With clockwise rotation, it will draw winds out of the south advecting warm, moisture-filled air from the Gulf.

The rest of the tonight there will be little to no cloud cover. Early morning lows will fall to around 67.

Tomorrow will be filled with sunshine and a few passing clouds. Highs near 90. Areas farther south will likely warm into the low 90s. The heat index values will be in the mid-90s.
