Quincy man arrested for distribution of child pornography

QUINCY (WGEM) — A Quincy man has been arrested for sharing child pornography on social media, according to police.

Sgt. James Brown reported Wednesday that Mark Stajduhar was taken into custody on Tuesday around 5 p.m. for the Distribution of Child Pornography.

Sgt. Brown stated that an investigation began in 2017 after the Quincy Police Department received a tip regarding the possible sharing of child pornography through social media.

During that investigation, a search warrant was executed at Stajduhar's home and he was identified as the main suspect.

Sgt. Brown stated that at that time Stajduhar was interviewed, along with other occupants of the residence, and all parties were released at that time.

Later in May of 2020, the Quincy Police Department received a Cybertip regarding the Distribution of Child Pornography through social media. Sgt. Brown stated that during that investigation Stajduhar was again identified as the main suspect.

Sgt. Brown stated that Stajduhar was charged with 3 counts of Distribution of Child Pornography.
