Rain showers and a few thunderstorms will become more scattered and isolated throughout the afternoon with activity dying down during the evening. Highs today will be right around 79. Lows will drop to the mid-60s.
A stray shower will be possible early Friday morning, mainly south of Quincy. Otherwise, tomorrow will be mostly cloudy with a high around 81.
Keeping with the low 80s this weekend. Saturday looks like it will be dry for the most part with a mixture of sunshine and clouds. On Sunday we may need to bump up rain/storm chances depending on the track of a storm system out of the south. I think the main event will mainly track northeast in eastern Illinois and through Indiana. However, our eastern counties may get clipped too.
The unseasonable cool weather pattern sticks with us for the majority of the first week of August. Highs in the upper 70s near 80.
