Work has begun on a temporary repair for the North Street storm sewer drain that failed in May of 2019 in Hannibal according to reports from our news gathering partners at the Hannibal Courier-Post.
Mathew Munzlinger with the Hannibal Board of Public Works said this comes 4 months after a contract was approved.
Munzlinger said the wait was related to river levels being too high to work on the repair.
He said work on the temporary repair should take about a week.
The damage originally occurred during flooding.
