QUINCY (WGEM) — Adams County Heath officials reported on Saturday that a third Adams County resident had died after getting COVID-19.
Heath officials said the person was a woman in her 70s.
Health officials released no other information, but stated, "we express our deepest condolences to the family and friends who have lost their loved one."
This is the second COVID-19 related death reported in Adams Count this week. The earlier death was a woman in her 90s.
The Adams County Health Department also reported 15 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Saturday:
2 males in their 20s
1 female in her 20s
1 male in his 30s
2 males in their 40s
1 female in her 40s
3 males in their 50s
5 females in their 50s
Health officials stated as of Saturday, Adams County had a total of 402 positive cases with 99 of those being actively contagious.
The preliminary seven-day positivity for cases as a percent of total tests given is 3.46%.
There were 10 people hospitalized in Adams County Saturday who were in their 40s-90s.
Of those hospitalized, there were two individuals in the ICU, according to health officials.
