Palmyra city council members will be meeting in a newly renovated city council chamber soon, one that includes a more ADA accessible ramp.
City officials said the former police department in the back part of city hall will now be used as the city council chambers.
Palmyra Mayor Loren Graham said street department crews worked on the project in their downtime, and the project came in within the $30-35,000 budget.
"We had new heat and air put in, we had some windows bricked up and put new windows in, and a new door, just got the furniture in about a week ago, so we're ready to have our first meeting on August 13th in here," said Graham.
City officials said the old city council chambers will be used as a spare meeting room moving forward.
