Fort Madison Bloodhounds Hit The Practice Turf During Day 1 Of Football Camp In Lee County

Fort Madison head football coach Derek Doherty and his staff had the Bloodhounds working hard during Day 1 Of Football Camp in Lee County.

The varsity played were clad in just helmets and shorts while the become accustomed to wearing the equipment once again. In a few days they'll strap on the shoulder pads and get down to some serious business during tackling and blocking drills.

The 'Hounds are set to open their 2020 season on August 28 on their home turf. This Friday in "The hawkeye State," FMHS will host the Hawks of Central Lee in exciting "7-On-7" action on the gridiron.

Coach Doherty also took timeout to explain the vital importance of this years football camp in the wake of the ongoing COVID-19 global pandemic.
