Northeast Missouri Republicans said they like their odds come November.

They're confident that Governor Mike Parson will fare well up against democrat Nicole Galloway.

Recent polls have shown Galloway nearly even with Parson, as the Governor faces criticism over his handling of the coronavirus pandemic.

But, Marion County Republicans said that's just politics, and Missourians know parson is a leader.

"There are a lot of opinions about what should have been done or what shouldn't have been done during this COVID-19 issue, but I think he and his staff and the leadership in the state has done the best job possible," said Marion County Republican Center Committee Chairman Larry Craig.

He said the party is pleased with the other state-level primary results this evening as well.
