Earlier today in Canton, Missouri, Culver-Stockton College Athletic Director Pat Atwell has announced that Emma (VanArsdale) Baker has been selected as the college's head women's golf coach.

Baker replaces Tom Ernst, who was tragically killed in an auto accident last month three weeks after being named head coach of the women’s program.

The Hamilton, Illinois native is a proud graduate of West Hancock High School. During her collegiate playing days on the fairways, Baker was a four-year member of the women’s golf team at C-SC from 2009-13. She also served as team captain.

Baker was also the Wildcats’ top finisher in the Heart of America Athletic Conference Tournament in three of her four seasons, including a third place finish in 2013. That finish earned Baker all-tournament and all-conference honors.

In addition, Baker was named the PAW Award winner for women’s golf in 2013, which stands for Passion, Attitude and Work Ethic.

Baker graduated from Culver-Stockton with a bachelor's degree in English in 2013.
