St. Vincent's Home had a drive through car parade Saturday morning.

Officials said the nursing home has been on lockdown and they wanted to provide a special event for the residents and their families.

“We’ve been on lock down since March. And this is a way for families to come by and wave and say hi. Something different than our window visits and our video calling.”

Desiree Swift – St. Vincent's Activity Director

St. Vincent's Home plans on doing more actives to keep their residents as active as possible.

The home is also looking for new pen pals.

Official said those interested should call St. Vincents at 217-224-3780 and ask for Activity Director Desiree Swift.
