QUINCY (WGEM) — A medical student from the University of Texas-San Antonio and who is also a Quincy native has invented a PPE sterilizer that would help curve infection during the pandemic.
This sterilizer is smaller than a microwave and would disinfect needed items used by health care facilities and any other personal care type businesses.
J.P. Bonansinga says, "PPE Sterilizer is great, has got some utility. I think it offers an answer to one of the many, many problems that we have with the pandemic. It also has lasting utility."
Bonansinga also says he hopes to release other products this year as well that would help sterilize surfaces and other places in need than PPE.
The sterilizer is currently undergoing independent lab testing before its expected release to come to the public in a couple of weeks.
