Visible imagery shows a thin layer of smoke over parts of the Midwest.

Seasonable temperatures and low humidity will make for another pretty nice day for the Tri-States. Cloud cover begins to increase by Wednesday morning, but no rain is expected. High pressure will keep our weather dry and through the end of the week. Smoke from major fires in the western part of the United States will obscure the sun at times and should help make some colorful sunrises and sunsets for the next several days. Highs will be in the lower 80's for most locations.
We will get a dose of Fall type temperatures headed into the weekend thanks to a large and cool high pressure system that will move down to the Tri-States. Temperatures will fall into the 40's and 50's at night and only climb as high as the 70's during the day. Friday and Saturday look to be the coolest days with temperatures as much as 10 degrees below normal.
