Autumn Begins Tuesday

Remaining Ad Time Ad - 00:00

The Autumnal Equinox will occur at 830 AM CDT on September 22. The Autumnal and Vernal Equinoxes occur each year in September and March respectively. They are the points in the Earth's orbit where the sun is directly over the equator, and the northern hemisphere and southern hemisphere receive a nearly equal amount of sunlight. Dry conditions will linger over the region through Tuesday with near normal temperatures both days. Otherwise, clouds will be on the increase tonight with mostly cloudy skies on Tuesday. Cloud cover continues to develop and become more dense with moisture as the remnants of Tropical Storm Beta makes its way northward into the Tri-States. Rain potential should stay south of the Tri-States.
