Hannibal-LaGrange Trojans men’s cross-country team shines in Columbia

The Hannibal-LaGrange University Men's Cross Country Team participated in the Larry Young Invitational on Monday in Columbia, Missouri.  The Trojans were 1 of 11 teams competing in the 8K event. Five of the cross country squads hailed from the American Midwest Conference (AMC).

Of the 11 teams, the men from Hannibal-LaGrange finished in 3rd place with a combined team time of 2:19:22. Cyle Butenhoff finished in 5th place in a time of 27:11 for the Trojans. Hannibal's Alec Whitener finished 6th in 27:17.

The Trojans will enjoy a few weeks off after Monday's outing. They are scheduled to compete next at the Seminole Valley Stampede in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on October 10.
