A major swing in temperatures is in the forecast. Not only will the temps do a flip flop, your flip-flops will likely be in the closet. Another seasonably cool morning is in the offing and we could see some patchy dense fog forming in river valleys and low lying areas Friday morning. If visibility is reduced with fog, leave extra room between you and the next vehicle. Temps will continue to warm through Saturday, when highs will top out in the 80s. With mostly clear skies, this weekend will be beautiful! The wind may a bit breezy Saturday. Temperatures will start cooling on Sunday before dropping quickly into the 60's and 70's by midweek. A shift in the jet stream will allow cooler air to spill into the Tri-States early next week. While the confidence in the cooler temps is strong. Just how cool it will get is a bit uncertain. Precip potential still looks like it is on the low side.
