The (4-0) Palmyra Panthers will put their undefeated record on the line this "Football Friday Night" when they play host to (3-1) Monroe City. Last season MCHS beat PHS and that's a fact that All-State lineman Weston King and the rest of the "Orange and Black" haven't forgotten as they prepare to face their rival for the coveted Mayor's Cup! Palmya head coach Kevin Miles took timeout from drills earlier today to offer some insight on the Monroe City-PHS conference showdown.

Central Lee basketball standout Mya Merschman signed a National Letter of Intent with Clarke University earlier today in Donnellson. The All-State performer decided to state in-state to pursue her collegiate basketball dreams with a head coach who just happens to hail from the Tri-States. We'll check in with Miss Merschman, and find out what went into her decision to sign with CU.

The IHSA Board of Directors made a few modifications to their post-season plans for cross-country and golf in the weeks ahead. We'll have an update on just how the expansion of state series is now back on the board for a few select student-athletes in the "Land of Lincoln."
