QUINCY (WGEM) -- Altrusa International of Quincy, Adjustin Chriopractic, Farm and Home Supply, and WGEM announced Monday that the annual Coats for Kids campaign had begun.
Organizers added that due to COVID-19, used coats, hats, gloves or scarves will not be accepted this year. All donated items must be brand new.
Organizers also stated there would be no annual Distribution Day, due to COVID-19. Instead, organizers are in the process of coordinating with local school districts to provide donated items to the schools to give out to children in need during the month of November.
Brand new coats, hats, gloves, and scarves can be donated to Farm and Home Supply in Quincy, Pittsfield, Keokuk and Hannibal beginning Monday through November 8.
Adjustin Chiropractic at 4440 Broadway St. in Quincy will also serve as a drop-off location.
