Starting Thursday, if you have a child that has yet to be vaccinated, they will not be allowed to go to school until they are able to show proof of their vaccinations from a doctor.
As of Wednesday, their were 291 students throughout Quincy public schools that were deficient in their vaccinations.
Quincy Public Schools nursing director Brandy Kirby says if your child is one of those students, you need to get in touch with your doctor as soon as possible.
"If they haven't gotten an appointment, they need to be calling their doctors offices and see if they can get in right away," said Kirby.
"Or I know there are some offices, SIU has said they would take some walk ins but they would like you to call in right ahead," said Kirby.
If you would like to set up a walk in appointment with SIU, you can reach them by phone at 217-224-9484.
