WGEM Sports At Six: Tuesday (October 13) Quincy Girls Golf Team Finishes Tied For 4th At IHSA Class 2A Sectional At Centennial

The Quincy High Blue Devils ventured to Champaign to compete for a Sectional title in the Class 2A ranks on Tuesday in Champaign. After the competition on the fairways came to a close, QHS finished tied for 4th place with Edwardsville with a score of 345.

O'Fallon finished in first place with a 326 while Lockport Township came in second place after carding a 330. Lincoln Way Central finished in third place with a score of 341.

Quincy High standout Laci Novosel led the team with a final score of 77. She finished tied in the individual standing for 4th place with Kaylee Dwyer from Lockport Township.

Laci carded 6 pars, 2 bogey's, and 1 double bogey on the front 9. She also had 2 birdies on the day. Teammate Kate Chevalier finished her round tied for 42nd place with a 94. Dulaney Bennett finished 60th in the standings with a 105 for QHS.
