This Saturday's men's Heart of America Athletic Conference North Division football game at Grand View University in Des Moines, Iowa, and the Heart men's soccer game at Missouri Valley College have been postponed.

The request was made by Culver-Stockton College, and the decision comes after contact tracing and cautionary quarantine procedures were enacted. Makeup dates will be announced when the information becomes available.

The women's volleyball team is scheduled to play this weekend, traveling to Oskaloosa, Iowa, Friday to play Heart of America Athletic Conference rival William Penn University at 7 p.m.

In the high school football ranks, Monroe City head football coach David Kirby is ready for Week 8 of the season to arrive. The (5-2) Panthers will be on the road tomorrow night facing the Bearcats of Hermann High. Coach Kirby offers a scouting report as MCHS starts their "countdown to kickoff" on Football Friday Night! WGEM's Richard Denson has an update from "Title Town!"

On the prep softball dirt tonight, Clark County and Palmyra are scheduled to square off in one of the 2 Class 2 District 5 Semifinal showdowns set for this evening. The last time these two CCC teams met in September, the Lady Panthers pulled out a big win. CCHS head coach Shaun Parker offers a few thoughts on the match-up that's set for Lions Club Field at 7:00 p.m.
