Quincy man found not guilty of 2018 sexual assault
QUINCY (WGEM) -- An Adams County jury found a Quincy man accused of a 2018 sexual assault not guilty on Friday.
According to the Herald-Whig, the jury found 26-year-old Wesley Ervin not guilty on all counts after a three-day-trial.
Authorities arrested Ervin back in January 2018 and he was charged with two counts of Criminal Sexual Assault and one count of Aggravated Battery.
This came after a 21-year-old female victim told police Ervin sexually assaulted her at a location in Quincy.
Each Criminal Sexual Assault charge is a Class 1 felony while Aggravated Assault is a Class 3 felony.
Ervin had been free after posting $15,000 bond.
