PITTSFIELD, Ill. (WGEM) -- This Pike County Health Department (PCHD) reported Monday a potential for COVID-19 exposure at a large gathering that took place on October 10.
Health officials stated they have documented multiple lab confirmed positive, symptomatic COVID-19 cases that reported attending an event at Lindsay’s Tavern in Pittsfield.
Health officials stated anyone who attended a large public gathering at Lindsay’s Tavern on October 10 should monitor their health and watch for symptoms. Individuals experiencing symptoms should seek testing.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, people with COVID-19 have reported a wide range of symptoms, ranging from mild symptoms to severe illness. The following symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure of the virus:
• Fever or chills
• Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
• Muscle or body aches
• New loss of taste or smell
• Sore throat
• Congestion or runny nose
• Nausea or vomiting
Health officials stated, if you develop any of these symptoms, you should call your primary care provider for instructions on obtaining a test.
