WGEM Sports At Six: Tuesday (January 12) Palmyra Lady Panthers Prepare For Home Opener On The Prep Hardwood Tonight Against Knox County And The Monroe City Panthers Are Focusing In On 3 Big Games This Week
It's an exciting time for the Palmyra Lady Panthers basketball team. For the first time during the 2020-21 season, PHS will get a chance to play a game on their home court as they take on Knox County this evening.
WGEM's Garrett Tiehes traveled to "The Flower City" and had a chance to go "1-on-1" with Palmyra head coach Alex Brandenburg to get and update on the "Orange and Black: as well as a scouting report on their non-conference battle against the Lady Eagles of KCHS.
In Monroe City this evening, the (9-1) Panthers will play host to the Pirates of Hannibal in another highly anticipated prep basketball match-up. MC head coach Brock Edris recently shared a few thoughts on the games ahead for his 3-rd ranked squad. The Panthers are coming off of capturing their fourth straight Clopton Invitational Tourney crown this past weekend at Clopton High in Clarksville, Missouri.
