Dry conditions will continue with mostly sunny skies on this Thursday. Temperatures will end up warmer, with highs in the mid to upper 40s. However, a few locations such as Hannibal and Paris may hit 50. Attention will then turn to the arctic cold front that will be swinging through the area later in the evening/tonight. This front is currently sitting to the north of us. When the front comes through into the evening/night, it will bring in much colder air. The strength of the front and cold temperatures could lead to some flurries as it passes. The cold front will have limited moisture to work with though.
By Friday morning, we are back to winter. Morning temperatures will be in the 20s, but it will feel like it's in the teens. The day will start off with some clouds, but we'll see mostly sunny skies later in the afternoon. Daytime highs will be much colder, only in the mid to upper 20s. Wind chill values will be in the teens throughout the whole day.
On Saturday, that clouds will start to build back into the Tri-States ahead of our next weather system. It will be a dry day though, with highs in the low 30s.
