QUINCY (WGEM) -- The Quincy Public School District Superintendent Roy Webb and Superintendent for the day, Jarvis, thanked the Adams County Health Department with the 'Blue Devil Coin' Friday.

The two stopped by the Oakley-Lindsay Center in Quincy to tell the workers they are the 'true' heroes as they work day-in and day-out to make sure the community gets vaccinated.

"Seamless teamwork between us, the Adams County Health Department, and emergency management," Webb said. "Because of that team, we have really been able to work together. We call each other constantly, we're on meetings weekly, usually several times a week. And they have been the driving force behind making things safe."

He said thanks to the health department, more than 800 QPS staff members were vaccinated this week.
