HANNIBAL (WGEM) -- While several counties in the Tri-States COVID-19 vaccination efforts make progress, one health entity says testing is still a priority.
Preferred Family Healthcare Lab Director, Jacinda Epperson said they are hosting community-wide, free testing events in Marion and Monroe Counties this month.
She said, in rural areas, it is important that people have access to testing that is not far away.
"We still have to do our part in prevention. So, whether it's getting the vaccine or it's getting tested when maybe you're feeling symptomatic, maybe you're having that shortness of breath, or you've lost your taste and smell," Epperson said.
"We still want you to get tested so we know, what the numbers are and what we're fighting."
