HANNIBAL, Mo. (WGEM) -- Hannibal Regional Healthcare System officials said they have new information on what vaccine distribution will look like in the coming weeks at the healthcare system.
Healthcare system CEO and president Todd Ahrens said after delivering 7,000 vaccines in a week, the state has approved them as a high through-put healthcare facility for the northeast region of the state, supporting Scotland Memorial Hospital and Northeast Regional Medical Center as well.
Ahrens said they're getting around 1300 vaccines a week starting Thursday, with 300 going to those smaller hospitals.
"When we get to the point where we need booster doses we'll get additional doses to accommodate those as well. So, a lot of issues with uncertainty as to, you know how much vaccine you'll get or when you'll get it should be resolved," said Ahrens.
He said information on appointments when they open will be their website and Facebook page.
Ahrens said when appointments open, the number to call is 573-629-3570. If you call before they open or after they close, the line will let you know.
