HANNIBAL (WGEM) -- DueAmici Pizzeria in Hannibal has been doing well through the pandemic.
The owner of DueAmici, Brian Chaplin says with business going well it was time to branch out and expand into other communities.
Brian Chaplin is the Owner of DueAmici Pizzeria. He said expanding was always the plan.
"Exciting I mean that's something I've always wanted to kind of do. Kind of expanding on a business that I owned and you know the pizzeria is going well here in Hannibal. So, you know the expansion in Quincy is not too far away but still I still get the Quincy traffic as well. But you know what the restaurant in Quincy is a lot bigger than this one. It'll have full bar things like that some extra things on the menu."
Chaplin said he is grateful to be able to expand during the pandemic.
"You know business has been well. I am just glad I had the opportunity to expand. That was my ultimate goal you know. And I think there's going to be more to come after this."
The goal is for the Pizzeria to open the second week of April at 702 Maine St. in Quincy.
