QUINCY (WGEM) -- The Quincy Park District said they're gaining momentum as the weather warms and spring approaches.
Director of Program Services Mike Bruns said they are preparing for a busy spring, with soccer, baseball, t-ball and their batting cages all opening within the next few months.
Bruns said the COVID-19 pandemic forced the park district to postpone or cancel many of their spring events and activities last year.
But he said with the local coronavirus situation improving, they are prepared to get back into business.
"So this year it looks like we're going to be able to do most of our programs," Bruns said. "We're really looking forward to doing that."
He said their goal is still to be safe, so they will continue to take COVID-19 precautions.
"We'll have some COVID restrictions still with some of the programs and those types of things," Bruns said.
