FORT MADISON (WGEM) -- Officials at the Lee County Health Department said those looking to get the COVID-19 vaccine will be able to at a clinic next week.
Community Health Program Manager, Emily Biddenstadt, said they are looking to fill a total of 350 appointments for the drive-thru clinic on March 30.
She said they're also taking appointments for those ages 64 and younger with certain medical conditions like sickle cell disease, obesity, and heart disease.
"It just means that we're hitting more of our population, so we can get them vaccinated and continue to move forward in the process of getting back to normal," Biddenstadt said.
Those looking to schedule an appointment can call (319)376-1077.
While the hotline is closed for the weekend, Biddenstadt said they will resume taking appointments at 8:30 a.m. on Monday.
