FORT MADISON (WGEM) -- The Rashid Pharmacy at 2404 Avenue L in Fort Madison was closed Tuesday morning as federal agents conducted an investigation.
The FBI and agents of the Office of Inspector General could be seen going through the building and conducting an investigation Tuesday morning.
Agents did not say what they were looking for.
WGEM News also reached out to the US Attorney for the Southern District of Iowa for information, but they did not immediately respond.
Fort Madison police were also on the scene and were informing customers that the pharmacy had been temporarily closed.
A voice mail message at the pharmacy stated they would be closed Tuesday and instructed customers to call back Wednesday during regular business hours.
