Cooler Thursday

The threat for severe weather has ended for the Tri-States. We had a 61 mile per hour wind gust recorded at Quincy Regional Airport Wednesday night around 6:18 PM when the storms rolled through. We also had some impressive rainfall totals.

  • Industry, IL_____________1.96"
  • Scotland County, MO____ .65"
  • Macomb, IL____________ 1.97"
  • Quincy, IL ______________1.81"
  • Hannibal, MO__________ 1.97"

We will be in for a much cooler day for Thursday. Temps will be below seasonable norms for about 24 hours. The area of low pressure that sparked the heavy rain and thunderstorms is still in the vicinity. But the low has weakened and is filling in, so we expect just a cold rain on Thursday with gray skies. Friday we should see some sunshine and a bit of a rebound for temps. What will the weekend hold stay with us and tune into the next newscast.
