The (1-2) Quincy High football team hit the turf at Flinn Memorial Stadium at 3:00 p.m. focused on working on all the improvements they have to make, on both sides of the ball, in preparation for Saturday's road game against Geneseo. Head coach Rick Little and his staff are also hopeful that injured quarterback Tate Meyer, and running back Drae Humphrey, will be able to return to action this weekend against the Maple Leafs, but right now their status remains "day-to-day." We'll have more details on the "Blue & White" as they prepare for their next challenge on the Western Big 6 Conference gridiron.

College softball was on the local sports schedule this afternoon in "The Gem City." The Lady Hawks of QU returned to action to host the Lady Blue Jays of Westminster in anon-conference doubleheader. We'll have game highlights headed your way from the first contest of the day that got underway at 2:00 p.m.
