As the pesky low pressure moved northeastward through the morning, it took the rain and the clouds with it. Now we're seeing some really nice sunshine. Winds will be out the west/southwest and could be a little breezy, with gusts up to 20 mph. We'll be warmer though. The northern tier will be in the mid to upper 60s, while place like Quincy and further south will be near 70. As we head through the day and into Friday night, a low pressure system over Texas will start to zip northeastward. Moisture will quickly return to the area, so we'll have increasing clouds later in the evening and night. Lows will be in the mid to upper 40s.
After about midnight/1am, the southern tier will start to see some rain showers as the Texas low pressure system starts to move into the area. Instability will tapper off, so I'm not expecting any thunderstorms. The showers will then continue to spread through the rest of the area. The rain showers will then continue throughout the day. At times, the rain may be on the heavier side. With the clouds and rain, temperatures will be cooler, only in the low 50s.
