Frosty Start to Thursday

Chilly temps, mostly clear skies and light wind will lead to areas of frost across most of the Tri-States Thursday morning. A Frost Advisory is in effect until 8am Thursday morning for the entire Tri-States. Bring in plants if possible, and protect sensitive vegetation that must be outside overnight. Cover your tender annuals with a sheet or bring them indoors if possible. Do not use plastic as a blanket. Most naturally blooming perennials are cold hardy for a light frost.
Confidence in area widespread light rain is ramping up Friday night through Saturday afternoon. We don't expect heavy rain but it may hangout for about 12 hours. The cool temperatures, cloud cover, and light rain will make outdoor plans unpleasant by my standards.
