Saturday featured partly cloudy skies through the afternoon with several rounds of showers throughout the Tri-States. There were a few lightning strikes that appeared on the radar, and even a report of pea size hail in Hannibal before 5pm.
A similar pulse of energy in the atmosphere will move through the Tri-States Sunday. Skies are likely to be less cloudy than they were on Saturday, meaning that the atmosphere may be able to become more unstable.
This means that there could be once again more scattered showers and even thunderstorms through the day on Sunday. After that, the work week looks to start off dry but a Wintry blast may change that. For more details, make sure to tune in Sunday night on WGEM News at 10.
