The record low temperature for May 11th is 31° set back in 1907. It is our record last freeze. If we get to 32° or lower from here forward we would be setting a record. The forecast at this time does show a warming trend for the next 10 days.
Spring is a transitional season so we often go through ups and downs on our way to stagnant summer heat, this week is no different. High temperatures will be around 10 degrees below normal Wednesday, but will slowly climb to near normal by the weekend as a warm front approaches the Tri-States. Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms are also expected Friday into Saturday. By next week, it's looking more like we'll be above normal, with highs perhaps rubbing up next to the pushing 80 degree mark.
