We are enjoying some beautiful sunshine this Friday afternoon. As we head through the day though, I expect some cumulus clouds to develop and some high-level clouds to move in from the west. It's going to be another hot and humid day. I'm expecting everyone to make it into the low 90s today. With the humidity though, it will feel like it's in the mid to upper 90s. This afternoon, there is a thunderstorm complex just to our northwest that is diving southward and it will impacting places such as Kansas City. These storms won't roll through the Tri-States. However, these storms will leave an outflow boundary in the area. With the heat and humidity from the day, this boundary may be enough to spark a few isolated showers or thunderstorms later in the afternoon and early evening. If that happens, the storms will be few and far between. Most of us will stay dry.
Overnight Friday, there could be a few isolated showers or thunderstorms if they can develop along an approaching cold front. Lows will be in the 70s again.
However, there is a relatively better chance of widely scattered showers and thunderstorms Saturday. This will be due to a weak cold front that will be moving through. The highest chance of rain look to stay to our south. But again, I can't rule out a few showers or storms. Highs will be in the upper 80s. Still a humid day though.
