The Little People's Golf Championships returns to Quincy starting on Monday, and local economic officials anticipate the annual event will bring a financial boost to the area.
Westview Golf Course will host hundreds of kids and their families.
Organizers say there's almost 200 entries this year, with families coming from 18 different states and several countries.
Officials say this means people are staying in area hotels and eating at restaurants, which will help the local economy.
"These junior golfers are coming in ages 3-18 and they will play two of our courses. The money will be spent here nicely. We expect a $242,000 impact to our city," Quincy Area Convention and Visitors Bureau Director Holly Cain.
This is the 48th year of the event. Since 1974, and has hosted 24,000 golfers and their families.
