HANNIBAL, Mo (WGEM) -- If you are in need of a book for the rainy days ahead, you can head to the public library in Hannibal for their book sale.

It started Thursday, and will continue through July 6.

The sale will be open Monday and Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Wednesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The sale will be closed July 3 through July 5 for Independence Day.

There are plenty of different genres of books at the sale, from kid books, young adult novels, non-fiction and even a few movies.

The sale is happening on the second flood of the Library.

Once inside, you grab a plastic bag and fill it with books. The final price is $3 per plastic bag of books.

Director of the library Hallie Yundt Silver said it is worth it to check out the sale several times because they will be rotating the selections.

"We encourage them to come out and we encourage them to come out often to it because what is out on the tables is not everything. We still have some things in storage so as people clear the things off the tables, we're going to be filling the tables up again with different books" she said.

All proceeds benefit the library. For more information, click here.
