A frontal system will move through the Tri-States late Thursday and Friday. Some of the storms may be strong to severe Thursday afternoon and into the evening. There is not one area that is more favorable for severe weather. The threat is on the lower side of things but it does exist. Everything will have to line up just right to get severe storms rolling. Damaging wind gusts and locally heavy rainfall are the main concerns with these storms. The storms should weaken late Thursday night. This frontal system will stall out well south of the area and take with it the potential for a washout of a weekend. We could still see an afternoon shower develop Saturday and Sunday afternoon but they would be very isolated. Temps next week begin to warm back up to more seasonably warm numbers.
