Quincy woman allegedly kidnapped, police ask public for information

UPDATE: Tabitha Campbell was found in Arkansas Wednesday night.

QUINCY (WGEM) -- Quincy Police are asking anyone with information about an alleged kidnapping at the Welcome Inn hotel in Quincy to contact them.

Police stated they believe Tabitha Campbell, 36, of Quincy was taken against her will by Mario Mason, 39, from the Memphis, Tennessee, area.

Police stated on Monday afternoon officers met with Campbell's family who reported Campbell was kidnapped Saturday from the Welcome Inn.

Police added during a room search at the hotel they discovered evidence that supported a kidnapping.

Police stated the two are believed to be in a stolen 2016 white Honda CRV with Illinois registration CS95996.

Quincy Police stated the Memphis Police Department located the vehicle Tuesday afternoon, however, they were unable to get the driver to stop and ultimately lost sight of it.

Police stated Campbell has not been heard from since Monday afternoon and ask anyone with information on the whereabouts of either Campbell or Mason can contact the Quincy Police Department or Quincy Regional Crimestoppers with information.

Police stated a warrant has been issued for Mason for kidnapping and aggravated domestic battery.
