The haze associated with forest fires will persist across the Tri-States through Friday. There will not be enough smoke in the lowest levels to impact most folks, but people with breathing issues like asthma will want to stay indoors Friday morning. Other than the smoky haze we still have the seasonably warm weather to talk about. Heat paired with humidity will have heat index numbers on the rise, with heat indices 95 to 105 degrees during the afternoon and early evening Saturday and Sunday. Hot and hazy, but otherwise dry conditions will continue into the weekend. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will become possible late Saturday and into Sunday afternoon, but confidence remains low.
