Fog may develop Tuesday morning and burn off rather rapidly shortly after sunrise. Once the fog is gone the Tri-States will begin to heat up into midweek with temperatures reaching 10 degrees above what is normal for this time of year. The heat is one thing but the heat and the humidity will combine and make things very uncomfortable through Thursday. Dangerous heat is becoming increasingly likely across the Tri-States during the afternoon on Wednesday and Thursday with max heat indices around 105°F. This will greatly increase the risk of heat-related illnesses. It is important to drink plenty of water and limit activities outdoors during the afternoon when temperatures are at their highest. A cold front will bring in cooler more seasonable temps this weekend, the cold front will also bring the potential for some rain.
