QUINCY (WGEM) -- A Quincy man has been arrested after a robbery at the Mercantile Bank at 440 Maine Street in Quincy on Tuesday.

Quincy Police Deputy Chief Shannon Pilkington said the hold-up alarm at Mercantile Bank sounded around 1:16 p.m., but the suspect was gone by the time police arrived.

Pilkington added the suspect left the scene on a motorized bike with small wheels.

Police were unsure if the suspect was armed.

Pilkington said the suspect was wearing a mask at the time of the robbery along with a black hat, an Adidas sweatshirt and tan boots.

Just after 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, police saw a person matching that description at the intersection of 18th and Broadway.

Police said the man, Samuel Kenwick, 40, of Quincy, was detained and interviewed.

QPD said he was arrested and lodged for Aggravated Robbery and will appear in court Wednesday for a bond hearing.

QPD added all of the money was recovered.

Pilkington said no one was injured in the robbery.
